Wellspring Credit Union

Wellspring Credit Union was chartered in 1958 as Orange Firestone Employees Federal Credit Union, when the hardworking men and women of the Firestone Polymers plant in Orange, Texas, pooled together $26,000.

They continued to grow for over 40 years, when in 1999, the credit union received its charter to become a community-based membership. With the new charter, the name changed to Firestone Community Federal Credit Union and their membership expanded to serving 2 surrounding counties in Texas and 1 parish in Louisiana.

In an effort to send a stronger message of their passion to provide their members the ultimate financial experience, they changed their name to Wellspring Federal Credit Union in August 2014, lead by the On Th Mark Strategies brand team. Wellspring, defined as “an abundant source”, describes their personality as a unique resource for our members in meeting their many financial needs.
