Austin joined On The Mark Strategies as a copywriter in 2021, building on a passion for storytelling he has had from a young age. At On TheMark Strategies, Austin helps financial organizations tell their stories through unbeatable member experience programs and compelling branding messages.
He began his professional career at a credit union during his time in college. He served in the industry for more than a decade in various capacities – from branch operations, to onboarding and training, to project management.
He is a second-generation credit union employee; his wife, Leslee, is a third-generation credit union employee. Austin often jokes that credit unions are all he knows.
He attributes much of his professional development and operational experience to excellent mentorship during his 12-year industry tenure. He graduated from Southwest CUNA Management School (Class of 2019). He also served as Class President during his time at SCMS.
Austin is an avid baseball fan. He cheers for his beloved Boston Red Sox during the good times and the bad. He and his wife love spoiling their two dogs, Sadie and Primrose.
